What makes you smile?: It may sound cliche, but my family makes me smile. Every year my children get older, it brings something new and fun.
What superpower would you have and why?: It would be time travel. I love history and enjoy learning about it. I would want to able to go back in time to live history’s important moments rather than just reading about them!
What is the most rewarding thing about being a dentist?: I love helping my patients and making their lives better. Taking the extra step to help people who really need it and seeing how it impacts them is the best part of my work.
If you only had one food to eat for the rest of your life, what would it be?: A steak. I love a good filet!

His mission is to develop mutual, trusting relationships with each one of his patients while helping them achieve great dental health. He loves getting to know his patients and some of them are the third generation of their family to come to him for dental care. Even after nearly 40 years, Dr. Boydston still has a passion for dentistry. He cherishes the relationships he has with his patients. The practice embraces technology and understands the importance of communicating information to their patient both visually as well as verbally.

He has numerous hours of training in Endodontics, Periodontics, Prosthetics and oral surgery and is certified in oral sedation.

Dr. Boydston is a member of the American Dental Association, the Kansas Dental Association, and has served as president of the 5th District Dental Society. He is an active participant in the Kansas KMOM project and the local Donated Dental organization, as well as the local Optimist Club.

Dr. Boydston and his wife, Karen, have four children and eight grandchildren. In his free time, Dr. Boydston enjoys hunting, fishing, gardening, traveling and spending time with his family.

What makes you smile?: A lot of things make me smile! My grandchildren make me smile. Changing our patients’ lives always puts a smile on my face. I love to see how our work helps patients to love their smiles. A beautiful smile on a patient’s face can change their outlook and personality.
What superpower would you have and why?: I would love to be able to fly, just to be above everything and see the world. X-ray vision would be nice, too. But having really good vision would be probably the best thing I can imagine I would want. I wear glasses but my eyes aren't what they used to be!
What is the most rewarding thing about being a dentist?: Making people happy, seeing a change in their personalities, and giving them the confidence to smile is the most rewarding thing about my work.
If you only had one food to eat for the rest of your life, what would it be?: I love steak but I would choose a good stew. Just taking a mix of my vegetables, meat, gravy and things.

I have been going to Dr. Haake for a really long time and have always had a really good experience. I always get really great dental hygienists and love that you can pick a Pandora station before they start. I will continue to refer and will be taking my little boys to see Dr. Haake once they are of age to go!

Excellent experience from walking in the door to leaving. I had a 10:50 appointment and at 10:50 I was in the chair. The staff and dentist do their best to make your visit a positive experience. Both Dr. Haake and Dr. Boydston made my 2 visits there a great experience.
